Open a game on Chess.com
Make your move before your opponent’s move is completed, if premove is available
Click or drag the piece to the square you want
Your move will appear as a premove and execute automatically if legal after your opponent moves
In fast time controls, premoves are usually enabled by default
In settings, check that premoves are turned on
On mobile, tap and hold or drag the piece to set the premove
On desktop, click and drag the piece to the target square
If the premove does not work, make sure it is still legal after your opponent’s move
