Open the can of corned beef
Remove the contents and discard the can
Break up the corned beef with a fork
Heat a skillet over medium heat
Add a small amount of oil or butter if desired
Place the corned beef in the skillet
Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add onions, garlic, or potatoes if desired
Season with pepper or other spices if desired
Serve hot
Use in sandwiches, hash, rice, or pasta
