How To Prepare Roast Beef In Oven?

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C)

Pat the roast beef dry with paper towels

Season all sides with salt, black pepper, and any desired herbs or spices

Place the roast on a rack in a roasting pan

Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the roast

Roast at 450°F (230°C) for 15 to 20 minutes

Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C)

Continue roasting until the desired internal temperature is reached

Remove from the oven when the thermometer reads:

125°F to 130°F for rare

135°F to 140°F for medium-rare

145°F to 150°F for medium

Let the roast rest for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing

Slice against the grain and serve
