Measure equal parts sugar and water
Pour the water into a saucepan
Add the sugar to the water
Heat over medium heat
Stir until the sugar fully dissolves
Do not let the syrup boil unless needed
Remove from heat once clear
Let it cool before using
Store in a clean, sealed container in the refrigerator
