Open the X app or website
Go to Settings and privacy
Select Privacy and safety
Select Audience, media, and tagging
Turn on Protect your posts
Confirm the change if prompted
Review who can tag you and adjust tag settings if needed
Review Discoverability and contacts settings if you want more privacy
Check your follower list and remove anyone you do not want to see your posts
Make your account private by keeping Protect your posts enabled
