How To Produce Bar Soap?

Gather oils/fats, distilled water, lye, salt, fragrance, colorant, and a mold

Wear gloves, goggles, and long sleeves

Measure all ingredients accurately by weight

Prepare a lye solution by slowly adding lye to water

Stir until the lye fully dissolves

Let the lye solution cool

Melt and combine the oils/fats

Cool the oils to the desired temperature

Slowly add the lye solution to the oils

Mix until the soap reaches trace

Add fragrance, colorant, or additives

Pour the mixture into the mold

Tap the mold to remove air bubbles

Cover and let the soap set

Unmold the soap after it hardens

Cut the soap into bars

Cure the bars in a dry, ventilated area

Turn the bars periodically during curing

Store the finished soap in a cool, dry place
