How To Propagate A Cactus?

Choose a healthy parent cactus

Wear thick gloves and use clean, sharp tools

Propagate by offsets, cuttings, or seeds

For offsets, gently remove the pup from the base

For cuttings, cut a healthy stem segment

Let the cut end dry and callus for several days

Fill a pot with well-draining cactus soil

Plant the callused end shallowly in the soil

Do not water immediately after planting

Place the pot in bright, indirect light

Water lightly only after roots begin to form

Keep the soil slightly dry between waterings

For seeds, sow on moist cactus mix

Cover seeds lightly and keep warm

Maintain gentle moisture until germination

Transplant once the new cactus is established
