Find the app, file, or folder you want on the desktop
Right-click it
Select Send to
Select Desktop (create shortcut)
If no Send to option appears, drag the item to the desktop
On Mac, open Finder
Locate the app, file, or folder
Drag it to the desktop or create an alias
If needed, use the app’s settings or installer to create a desktop shortcut
Confirm the icon appears on the desktop
