Mark the spot where you want the anchor
Check for studs, pipes, and wires before drilling
Choose the correct anchor for the wall and weight
Hold the anchor against the mark
Drill a pilot hole if the anchor requires one
Push or tap the anchor into the hole until flush
Insert the screw into the anchor
Tighten the screw until secure
Do not overtighten
Hang the item on the installed anchor
Test the hold gently before fully loading it
