Open QuickTime Player
Click File
Select New Movie Recording, New Audio Recording, or New Screen Recording
Choose the correct microphone or camera if needed
Click the red Record button
Stop recording when finished
Save the file
Use Voice Memos for audio only
Open Voice Memos
Click the Record button
Click Done to save
Use Screenshot toolbar for screen recording
Press Shift + Command + 5
Choose the screen recording option
Select the recording area
Click Record
Stop recording from the menu bar
Use Photo Booth for webcam recording
Open Photo Booth
Select video mode
Click the record button
Stop when finished
Use third-party apps if needed
Install and open the app
Set input sources
Start and stop recording
Export or save the file
