Remove the seat cushion or chair fabric panel from the frame

Take photos of the chair before disassembly

Remove the old fabric, staples, and tacks

Inspect and repair the foam, batting, and webbing

Cut new upholstery fabric with extra allowance for wrapping

Center the fabric over the cushion or seat base

Pull the fabric tight and staple one side first

Staple the opposite side next, then the remaining sides

Work from the center outward to avoid wrinkles

Fold corners neatly and secure them with staples

Trim excess fabric after stapling

Reattach the seat cushion or fabric panel to the chair frame

Replace any decorative trim, piping, or welt if needed

Check for smoothness and tighten any loose areas

Clean the chair and inspect the finished upholstery
