How To Remove Baseboard?

Score the caulk line along the top edge with a utility knife

Remove any paint seal between the baseboard and wall

Locate and remove nails with a pry bar or nail puller if exposed

Insert a putty knife or trim puller behind the baseboard

Gently pry the baseboard away from the wall

Work along the length in small sections to avoid damaging drywall

Use a wood block behind the pry bar to protect the wall

Pull the baseboard off once it loosens

Remove any remaining nails from the wall or baseboard

Patch nail holes and wall damage if needed
