Soak nails in warm, soapy water for 10–20 minutes
Apply cuticle oil around the edges
Gently lift the fake nail with a wooden cuticle stick
Soak cotton in acetone and place it on the nail
Wrap each finger with foil to hold the acetone in place
Wait 10–15 minutes
Gently slide off the softened nail
Repeat acetone soaking if the nail does not come off easily
File away any remaining glue
Wash hands and apply moisturizer or cuticle oil
Do not force or pull the nails off
Stop if there is pain or skin irritation
