Sign in to your Google Account
Go to Data & privacy
Scroll to Your data & privacy options
Select More options
Click Delete your Google Account
Re-enter your password
Review the information shown
Check the boxes to confirm
Click Delete Account
To remove Gmail only, go to your Google Account
Open Data & privacy
Select Delete a Google service
Sign in again if prompted
Find Gmail
Click the delete icon next to Gmail
Enter an alternate email address
Verify the alternate email address
Confirm the deletion
To remove Gmail from your phone
Open the Gmail app
Tap your profile picture
Tap Manage accounts on this device
Select the Google account
Tap Remove account
Confirm removal
