Wet the hair and apply a lice-removal conditioner or detangling product
Use a fine-tooth nit comb on small sections of hair
Comb from the scalp to the ends, wiping the comb after each pass
Focus on the hair close to the scalp, especially behind the ears and at the nape of the neck
Repeat combing every 2 to 3 days for at least 2 weeks
Remove visible eggs with your fingers or the comb if needed
Wash bedding, hats, brushes, and hair accessories in hot water
Dry washable items on high heat
Seal non-washable items in a plastic bag for 2 weeks
Check all household members for lice and nits
Repeat treatment according to the product instructions
