How to Remove Old Tint?

Gather a razor blade or plastic scraper, heat gun or hair dryer, spray bottle, soapy water, ammonia or adhesive remover, microfiber cloths, and gloves

Park the vehicle in a shaded area and lower the window slightly if removing tint from glass

Heat the tint with a heat gun or hair dryer until it softens

Lift one corner of the tint with a razor blade or plastic scraper

Peel the tint back slowly at a shallow angle while continuing to apply heat

Spray the adhesive side with soapy water or ammonia to help loosen residue

Scrape off remaining adhesive with a razor blade or plastic scraper

Wipe the glass clean with microfiber cloths

Repeat as needed until all tint and adhesive are removed

Clean the surface with glass cleaner or a final wipe of soapy water

Wear gloves and work carefully to avoid cuts or damage to the glass
