Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro
Enter the password to unlock the file
Go to File
Select Properties
Open the Security tab
Choose No Security from the Security Method menu

Save the PDF
Open the PDF in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge if the file allows printing
Enter the password to view the file
Print the document
Select Save as PDF as the printer
Save the new PDF without password protection
Open the PDF in Preview on Mac
Enter the password
Go to File
Select Export as PDF
Save the exported file
Use an online PDF unlock tool only if you are authorized to remove the protection
Upload the PDF
Enter the password if required
Download the unlocked PDF
Use a PDF password removal tool only if you own the file or have permission
Open the protected PDF in the tool
Enter the password
Remove security settings
Save the unlocked copy
