File the top layer of the shellac gently with a nail file
Soak cotton balls in acetone nail polish remover
Place the soaked cotton balls on each nail
Wrap each fingertip tightly with aluminum foil
Wait 10 to 15 minutes
Remove the foil and cotton from one nail to check if the polish is lifting
Gently push off softened shellac with a cuticle pusher or orange stick
Rewrap and soak any remaining stubborn polish for a few more minutes
Buff away leftover residue lightly
Wash hands with soap and water
Apply cuticle oil or hand cream after removal
