Open Instagram and go to your profile
Tap Edit profile
Find the Threads field or Threads link in your bio settings
Remove the Threads link or username
Tap Done or Save
If the Threads badge still appears, go to your Threads app profile settings and disconnect or deactivate the Threads profile linked to Instagram
Refresh your Instagram profile to confirm the Threads mention is gone
