Blot the stain immediately with a clean dry cloth
Rinse the back of the stain with cold water
Apply liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain
Gently rub the detergent into the fabric
Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes
Rinse thoroughly with cold water
Mix baking soda with a little water to form a paste
Apply the paste to the stain and let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes
Rinse and wash the clothing as usual
For white clothes, apply diluted hydrogen peroxide to the stain
For colored clothes, test any stain remover on a hidden area first
Wash the item in the warmest water safe for the fabric
Check the stain before drying
Repeat the treatment if the stain remains
Avoid using heat until the stain is completely gone
