Lower the window slightly to expose the top edge of the tint
Peel up a corner of the tint with a razor blade or fingernail
Pull the tint off slowly at a shallow angle
Apply heat while peeling if the film tears
Spray the adhesive with soapy water, ammonia solution, or adhesive remover
Let the remover soak for several minutes
Scrape off remaining adhesive with a plastic scraper or razor blade
Repeat spray and scrape until the glass is clean
Clean the window with glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth
Remove any tint residue from window seals and edges
Wear gloves and work carefully to avoid scratching the glass
Use a razor blade only on glass, not on defroster lines or tinted plastic windows
