Inspect the trident for cracks, bends, loose tines, and corrosion
Clean off dirt, rust, and debris
Disassemble any removable parts
Straighten minor bends with a vise and protective padding
Weld or braze cracked metal if the material allows it
Replace severely damaged tines or shaft sections
Reattach or tighten the head to the shaft
Sand repaired areas smooth
Refinish the metal with rust-resistant coating
Replace the handle if it is split, warped, or weakened
Test the trident for alignment and stability
Store it in a dry place after repair
