Turn off the furnace
Locate the filter slot
Remove the access panel if needed
Slide out the old filter
Check the filter size and airflow direction arrow
Insert the new filter with the arrow pointing toward the furnace blower
Reinstall the access panel
Turn the furnace back on
Set a reminder to replace the filter regularly
