Choose a pot with drainage holes
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent soil mix
Remove the aloe vera from its current pot
Gently shake off excess soil from the roots
Inspect the roots and trim any rotten or damaged parts
Place a layer of soil in the new pot
Position the plant so the base sits just above the soil line
Fill in around the roots with soil
Keep the leaves above the soil surface
Press the soil lightly to secure the plant
Do not water immediately after replanting
Wait several days before watering
Place the plant in bright, indirect light
Avoid overwatering after replanting
