Go to your Direct Messages
Select the chat you want to reply to
Tap the message field at the bottom
Type your reply
Tap Send
To reply to a specific message, press and hold the message
Tap Reply
Type your response
Tap Send
To reply to a story, tap Send message on the story
Type your reply
Tap Send
To reply to a comment, tap Reply under the comment
Type your response
Tap Post
To reply with a quick reaction, double-tap the message or story
To reply using voice, hold the microphone icon in chat
To reply with a photo or video, tap the camera icon in chat
