Remove the battery cover from the Apple Remote
Remove the battery
Wait 30 seconds
Reinsert the battery
Replace the battery cover
Press any button on the remote
If needed, pair the remote again with your Apple TV or Mac
If the remote still does not work, replace the battery with a new one
