Unplug the Fire TV Stick from power
Wait 10–20 seconds
Plug the Fire TV Stick back in
Press and hold the Home button on the remote for 5–10 seconds
If the remote supports pairing, press and hold the Back and Home buttons together for 10–15 seconds
If needed, press and hold the Back button for 10–15 seconds
Wait for the remote to reconnect
If the remote still won’t work, remove the remote batteries
Reinsert the batteries (confirm correct polarity)
Press and hold the Home button for 5–10 seconds
If it’s still not working, restart the Fire TV:
Go to Settings
Select My Fire TV (or Device & Software)
Select Restart
If the remote is still unresponsive, pair it again:
Go to Settings
Select Controllers & Bluetooth Devices
Select Amazon Fire TV Remotes
Select Add New Remote
Use a phone remote app as a temporary workaround (if available) to navigate to Settings for pairing or restart
