Open the game and reach the title screen
Press the minus button
Select Save and End
Close the game completely
Reopen the game to continue
To restart the entire island, go to the Nintendo Switch Home menu
Highlight Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Press the plus button
Select Manage Software
Select Delete Software
Re-download the game from the Nintendo eShop
Start the game again and create a new island
