Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner
Select Restart
Click Restart again if prompted
If the Mac is frozen, press and hold the Power button until it turns off
Wait a few seconds
Press the Power button again to turn it back on
If needed, use the Touch ID button as the Power button
Press and hold it for about 10 seconds to force shutdown
Press it again to restart
