Wash your hands
Place the breast milk in the refrigerator overnight if frozen, or thaw it in the refrigerator
Warm the milk by placing the bottle or storage bag in a bowl of warm water
Use a bottle warmer designed for breast milk if available
Swirl the milk gently to mix the fat after warming
Test the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding
Use the warmed milk within 2 hours
Do not microwave breast milk
Do not boil breast milk
Do not refreeze thawed breast milk
Discard any leftover milk after a feeding
