Find a horse in a plains, savanna, or similar biome
Make sure you have an empty hand
Right-click the horse on Java Edition
Press the use button on the horse on Bedrock Edition
Keep mounting the horse until it stops bucking you off
Feed the horse apples, wheat, hay bales, sugar, or golden apples to help tame it faster
Open the horse’s inventory after taming it
Place a saddle in the saddle slot
Mount the horse again to ride it
Use movement controls to steer the horse
Press jump to make the horse jump
Dismount using the dismount key or button
Use horse armor if you want extra protection
