Open the Start menu
Type `cmd` and press Enter
Type `ipconfig` and press Enter
Look for the IPv4 Address line
Open Settings
Go to Network & Internet
Select Wi-Fi or Ethernet
Click the connected network
Find the IP address in the network details
Open Control Panel
Go to Network and Sharing Center
Click your active connection
Select Details
Check the IPv4 Address field
Open a web browser
Search `what is my IP`
View the public IP address shown by the search result
