Remove the AirTag battery tab
Bring the AirTag close to your iPhone or iPad
Tap Connect when the setup prompt appears
Choose a name for the AirTag
Select an item category or create a custom name
Tap Continue
Register the AirTag with your Apple ID
Tap Finish
Attach the AirTag to the item you want to track
Open the Find My app to view the AirTag location
