Remove laces
Brush off dirt and dust
Wipe shoes with a damp cloth
Apply shoe cleaner if needed
Let shoes dry completely
Insert shoe trees or stuff with paper
Apply a thin layer of polish with a cloth or brush
Let polish dry
Buff with a horsehair brush
Apply a second thin coat if desired
Buff again until glossy
Wipe with a soft cloth for final shine
Reinsert laces
