Click the Start menu
Click the Power icon
Select Shut down
Save any open work before shutting down
Close all open programs if needed
Press Alt + F4 on the desktop and choose Shut down
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and select the Power icon, then Shut down
Press and hold the power button only if the laptop is frozen and unresponsive
