Open Settings
Go to System
Select Power & sleep or Power & battery
Set Sleep to Never
Set Screen timeout to your preference
Open Control Panel
Go to Power Options
Select Change plan settings
Set Put the computer to sleep to Never
Click Save changes
On Mac, open System Settings
Go to Lock Screen or Displays
Set Turn display off and sleep settings to Never or the longest available time
On Mac, go to Battery or Energy Saver
Disable automatic sleep if available
Keep the laptop plugged in if needed
Close unnecessary lid-sleep settings if your device supports them
Use a third-party keep-awake app if built-in settings are not enough
