Open Snapchat
Tap your profile icon
Tap the gear icon for Settings
Tap Notifications
Turn off Story notifications
If available, disable notifications for Public Stories or Story Updates
Go to your phone’s Settings app
Tap Notifications
Select Snapchat
Turn off Snapchat notifications entirely or restrict them
In Snapchat, go to Privacy Controls
Set Contact Me to Friends
Set View My Story to Friends Only or Custom
Remove non-friends from your Story audience if needed
Turn off Story notifications for specific accounts if Snapchat shows that option
Check any Spotlight, Public Profile, or subscription settings and disable related alerts
Restart Snapchat after changing settings
