Turn the radiator valve clockwise until it stops
If there is a thermostatic radiator valve, set it to 0 or the lowest setting
If there are two valves, close both of them
If the radiator has a lockshield valve, turn it clockwise to close it
Check that the radiator is no longer heating up
If the heating system is on, turn down the room thermostat if needed
