Open the front panel of the indoor AC unit
Look for a small button labeled On/Off, Auto, Manual, or Emergency
Press the button once to turn the AC on
Press it again to turn the AC off

Restore power at the breaker if it has been turned off
Use a smartphone app if the AC is a smart model and supports app control
Use a universal AC remote if available
