Ask your doctor to send a new prescription if the medication cannot be transferred
Confirm that the transfer is complete before going to pick up your medication
Update any mail-order, auto-refill, or delivery settings if needed
Notify your doctor and insurance company if your pharmacy change affects your records or coverage
