Move your character near a wall, rock, fence, or other solid object
Press the cover button when close to the object
On PlayStation, press R1
On Xbox, press RB
On PC, use the cover key you have assigned in the controls
Stay close to the object to remain in cover
Aim from cover to peek and shoot
Move along the cover while staying attached to it
Press the cover button again to leave cover
