Power off the PS5 completely
Unplug all cables and accessories
Place the console on a flat, clean surface
Remove the stand if attached
Hold the console securely with the PS logo facing up
For the top plate, grip the corner near the PS logo
Lift slightly and slide the plate downward toward the bottom edge
Continue sliding until the plate releases
For the bottom plate, grip the corner near the PS logo
Lift slightly and slide the plate downward toward the bottom edge
Continue sliding until the plate releases
Set the plates aside safely
