Shut down the computer
Unplug the power cable
Press the power button for a few seconds to discharge residual power
Open the computer case
Disconnect any power cables from the video card
Remove any screws securing the video card to the case
Locate the PCIe slot latch on the motherboard
Release the PCIe slot latch
Hold the video card by its edges
Pull the video card straight out of the slot
Place the video card on an anti-static surface
