How To Take Your Pulse?

Sit or stand still and relax for a few minutes

Place your index and middle fingers on the inside of your wrist below the thumb or on the side of your neck beside your windpipe

Press lightly until you feel a steady beat

Do not use your thumb

Count the beats for 30 seconds

Multiply that number by 2 to get beats per minute

If the rhythm feels irregular, count for a full 60 seconds

Record the result if needed
