Open WhatsApp
Tap the chat of the person you want to talk to
Type your message in the text box
Tap the send button
To make a voice call, open the chat and tap the call icon
To make a video call, open the chat and tap the video call icon
To send a voice message, hold the microphone icon, speak, then release
To start a new chat, tap the new chat button and select a contact
Make sure your phone has an internet connection
Allow WhatsApp access to your contacts and microphone if needed
