Find a donkey in a plains or savanna biome
Hold wheat, hay bale, apple, golden apple, golden carrot, or sugar in your hand
Right-click or tap the donkey to mount it
Keep mounting it until hearts appear
If it bucks you off, get back on and repeat
Once tamed, put a saddle on it to ride
Open the donkey’s inventory to add a chest if desired
