Find a horse in the Overworld
Make sure you have an empty hand
Approach the horse and right-click or press the interact button to mount it
Keep trying to ride the horse after it bucks you off
Wait for hearts to appear
Once hearts appear, the horse is tamed
Open the horse’s inventory to equip a saddle
Equip horse armor if desired
