You generally cannot tell from appearance alone
A strong, persistent preoccupation with sexual thoughts or activities
Frequent sexual behavior that feels compulsive or hard to control
Sexual choices that continue despite negative consequences
Using sex to cope with stress, anxiety, loneliness, or low mood
Difficulty focusing on work, school, or relationships because of sexual urges
Repeatedly seeking sexual experiences in risky or unsafe situations
Feeling distress, guilt, or loss of control about sexual behavior
Needing more sexual stimulation over time to feel satisfied
Being unable to stop even after trying to cut back
Sexual behavior that interferes with daily responsibilities
Talking about sex often does not by itself mean hypersexuality
A mental health professional is the best person to assess this
