Crying for long periods, often more than 3 hours a day
Crying on at least 3 days a week
Crying that lasts for 3 weeks or longer
Crying that seems intense, high-pitched, or hard to soothe
Crying that happens around the same time each day, often in the evening
Clenched fists, stiff body, or pulled-up legs during crying
Face turning red while crying
Trouble calming down even after feeding, changing, or holding
Appearing otherwise healthy between crying episodes
Normal feeding, weight gain, and diaper output despite crying
Excessive fussiness without an obvious cause
Signs of discomfort that come and go in episodes
Crying that is not linked to hunger, a dirty diaper, or tiredness
