Stand in front of a mirror
Use a flexible measuring tape
Measure forehead width at the widest point
Measure cheekbone width at the widest point
Measure jawline width from one end to the other
Measure face length from hairline to chin
Compare the measurements
Oval: face length longer than width, forehead slightly wider than jawline
Round: face length and width are similar, cheeks are widest
Square: forehead, cheekbones, and jawline are similar in width, jaw is angular
Heart: forehead wider than jawline, chin is narrow
Diamond: cheekbones are widest, forehead and jawline are narrower
Oblong: face length is much longer than width
Triangle: jawline is wider than forehead
